"The trip to the Fat Duck"
In preparation for Emma & Ashley's wedding we took a trip to the famous 3 star Michelin restuarant The Fat Duck where Ashley is the head chef.
It was great to meet Ashley face to face for the first time and he welcomed us with a rather nice glass of champagne, at good start.
As we had not been before could not resist the tasting menu..

Aplogies for the quality of the pictures, only had the phone for these.

Very theatrical

The legendary snail porridge

Bee doesn't look to convinced

There we go, clean plate!

The ipod's come out for the next course
Note the chap in background taking detailed notes on each course

"The Sound of the Sea"
A very interesting blend of sounds, textures tastes and visuals
Impressive..

Taking it much more seriously now

Cheers!

Lastly is the equally legenadry bacon and egg ice cream

A little of this

A little of that &....

Voila!!

(Sorry can't get the accent on the a)

Once again intriguing and delicious

After the meal Ash showed us around the main restuarant kitchen, Bee looks very keen to see what's going on

And then took us to see the developement kitchen where they create some of the most unusual food in the world and where Heston does some of his filming for TV

All in all a great day out, must go again soon!!!!

"Ashley Palmer-Watts visits Jacaranda"
Being such a high profile chef it was only natural that Ashley would like to try some of the things we do. We had put some dishes together that we thought would be appropriate and working to his breif of simple but good.

Ashley

Parmesan and cherry tomato tart

Herb marinated poached salmon

Smoked trout fillet with watercress, apple and red onion salad

Tasting going well!

Fromage frais cheese cake

and our almost famous white and dark chocolate torte!

See you at the wedding.......

"The marriage of Emma Bowden to Ashley Palmer-Watts at the Tithe Barn"

Thankfully it was a beautiful day at the Tithe Barn for Emma and Ashley's wedding.

Drinks and canapes were circulated by the team

All the tables were of course named after the greatest resturants in the world.

(I couldn't get into the French Laundry last time I was in California, Ashley said let him know next time, it's not what you know....)

Of course...

The Tithe Barn looking fabulous with the elegantly dressed tables
